The space before any work was done
The same space after an initial cleanup
The finished space
For anyone embarking on a landscaping project one of the best places to start is definition, or the question: how are we going to define this space? Once you get some definition in a space the possibilities emerge. In these pictures you see a space that initially had no definition. It was over grown and inundated with debris. Our first task was to get the space back to its bear bones. Once we did that the possibilities began to emerge for a gravel pathway. There were already some things in place (rocks to use as a border, a relatively weed-free space, etc). Then became a matter of installing the right materials and designing off of that.
